Client Installer Instructions (does not apply to Full Client download)

1. First screen - the installer will ask you for an installation folder i.e. C:\RtcwPro is the default location. Do not install Pro into your normal 1.4 folder to avoid file conflicts and bugs in the game
2. Second screen - the installer will ask you to find your pak0.pk3 (not mp_pak0.pk3) file from your RtCW Vanilla 1.4 installation. Click the browse [...] button to find and select your RtCW Vanilla 1.4 pak0.pk3 file
3. The installation will continue and the installer will install files into your C:\RtcwPro (or specified) directory as well as copy necessary PK3 files from RtCW Vanilla 1.4 that the client needs to run.
4. NOTE: this will not copy maps and config (.cfg) files. That is up to you to copy your config over.
5. Copy your .cfg files manually from RtCW Vanilla 1.4 "Main" to RtcwPro "Main".

Troubleshooting

• When connecting to a server if you get kicked with an error "Server disconnected for unknown reason" you may need a new cdkey
  As of Client 1.2.7 (March 21, 2022) the client can create a cdkey for you. If you have an error connecting to a server OR need a new key do the following:
  Go to your RtcwPro Main folder, delete your RTCWKEY, and then restart the game. The client will create a new rtcwkey for you.
• You installed RtcwPro but the game will not work - make sure your vanilla 1.4 files copied over from your 1.4 installation. You need the following files in your RtcwPro "Main" folder
  1. pak0.pk3 (required)
  2. mp_pak0.pk3 (required)
  3. mp_pak1.pk3 (required)
  4. mp_pak2.pk3 (required)
  5. mp_pak3.pk3 (required)
  6. mp_pak4.pk3 (required)
  7. mp_pak5.pk3 (required)
  8. mp_pakmaps0.pk3 (can be downloaded from server using cl_allowdownload 1)
  9. mp_pakmaps1.pk3 (can be downloaded from server using cl_allowdownload 1)
  10. mp_pakmaps2.pk3 (can be downloaded from server using cl_allowdownload 1)
  11. mp_pakmaps3.pk3 (can be downloaded from server using cl_allowdownload 1)
  12. mp_pakmaps4.pk3 (can be downloaded from server using cl_allowdownload 1)
  13. mp_pakmaps5.pk3 (can be downloaded from server using cl_allowdownload 1)
  14. mp_pakmaps6.pk3 (can be downloaded from server using cl_allowdownload 1)
